Away from the big tourist spots, Monte Claro has 350 hectares and is part of the biological corridor Turrialba Jimenez but it represents by itself, thanks to its geographical location, extent and the internal distribution of their land,an important site for wildlife and local flora.
This hacienda, ecosystems and crops are mixed: 50 hectares of organic coffee, organic fruits and vegetables, 100 hectares of sugar cane, domestic animals (horses, cows, goats, chickens etc.), rivers, more than 50 hectares of primary and secondary forest, and 20 hectares of reforestation.
The originality of the place is the presence of biological corridor on which all parts of forests and water bodies meet, thereby facilitating the exchange between plant and animal life.
