Monte Claro

Hacienda Monte Claro (350 hectares) is an agricultural and ecological family farm aiming to find a harmonious relationship between the human being and nature. Far from the big tourist spots, Monte Claro is part of the biological corridor Talamanca Central Volcanic Cordillera and represents by itself, thanks to its geographical location, its extension and the internal distribution of its lands, an important site for the local fauna and flora.

In this property, ecosystems and crops are mixed: coffee plantations, sugar canes, pastures and domestic animals (horses, cows, hens, among others), rivers, forests and reforestation areas, forming biological corridors within the farm, bringing together the forest and the water source, facilitating the exchange between the existing flora and fauna.

Inside our Hacienda you will find toucans, hawks, hummingbirds, morpho butterflies, anteaters, sloths, coyotes, jaguarondis … not to mention the world of insects ….
