The Pizote trail, accessible to all, will allow you to discover with family or friends, unique views of the Turrialba Valley before going through coffee and cane plantations, typical crops of the area. Maybe they will see a family of Coatimundi, (Procyonidae), known in Costa Rica as “Pizote”, climbed in a tree or walking along the roads. The Pizote is omnivorous and eats almost anything he can find, but he still loves sugarcane from the Hacienda…
